Since Kendal turned 12 in October she is now in the Young Women's program at church. The Young Women's Presidency in the Theodore Ward is just wonderful and we couldn't be happier to have Kendal with such a good group of girls. A couple of months ago, the Young Women held their annual New Beginnings Program. The purpose of this event is to help the girls start off the year by setting personal goals and to welcome new girls into the program. Each year, the youth in the Church have a new theme. The Mutual theme for 2008 is "Be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works" (Mosiah 5:15). The girls decided to do an "Army Theme" (after all who is more steadfast and immovable than our troops) complete with camouflage decorations and clothing. Luckily, several members of our ward are veterans so there was no shortage of, MRE's, canteens, army cots, clothing and hats. It was great fun and an exciting way to start the year!

Kendal you are so beautiful inside and in. Ariel and Cecily look up to you so much. Thanks for being someone that they can look up to and for being a wonderful example of a young woman who is steadfast and immovable.
